Paracelsus Herb Garden

Learn About Medicinal Plants

The Paracelsus Herb Garden is an ideal place to learn about medicinal plants, including many of the plants that provide us with our homeopathic remedies--Pulsatilla, Lycopodium, Phytolacca, Cimicifuga, Ledum, Belladonna, Aconite, and many others. The garden functions as an outdoor classroom for the students at the Naturopathic College, but it is also open to the public. Here visitors can identify and learn about the medicinal properties of some 300 plant species.

Visiting the Herb Garden

The garden is located on the campus of the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, at 1255 Sheppard Avenue East, at the SW corner of Leslie and Sheppard. If you’re coming by TTC take the new Sheppard line and get off at Leslie. Come in the front entrance of the College and ask for directions to the garden. Paid parking is available in the College’s parking lot.

The garden is open for visitors Monday to Friday, 10-6 pm and Saturdays 9-2 p.m.

Volunteering at the Garden

Volunteer work parties are scheduled throughout the spring, summer. and fall, and more help is always needed and appreciated. If you are interested in helping out at the garden, or attending one of our events, please contact us by e-mail at: garden@dreamreading.ca.
